In ACT, apart from the standard plan at reference price, ActewAGL offers 4 electricity plans —
Direct Saver plan requires you to pay with direct debit through EvenPay or FullPay. These methods are explained further below under payment options.
Simple Saver plan is likely to be slightly more expensive than Direct Saver Plan but has more payment options available.
Solar Saver plan has higher solar feed-in tariff rates, which are stated further below.
Battery Saver plan is only available to those who are residential customers with an eligible Tesla Powerwall 2 or SolarEdge/LG Chem HV battery storage system. This plan offers a 50% discount on electricity supply charges every month for a year.

Billing and Payment Options
You can pay your ActewAGL bills online by credit or debit card, BPAY, by logging in to your account on the ActewAGL website, on the phone and in person. But if you’re on the Direct Saver plan, you can only pay by direct debit, EvenPay or FullPay.
EvenPay estimates your annual energy bill and splits it into smaller predictable amounts that can be paid monthly or fortnightly.
FullPay deducts the full amount of your monthly bill from your nominated account.

ActewAGL: batteries, VPP and feed in tariff
Solar feed in tariff
| State | ActewAGL feed in tariff |
|---|---|
| NSW | 2.5 to 6c per kWh |
| ACT | 2.5 to 6c per kWh |
The Battery Saver plan pays 6c for the first 10 kWh exported per day, then a lower rate. Standard plans pay 2.5 to 3c. NSW coverage is the south east only.
Does ActewAGL have a VPP?
Yes. A VPP, or Virtual Power Plant, pays you for letting the retailer draw on your home battery at peak times. ActewAGL runs the ActewAGL VPP, joined through the Battery Saver plan. It halves your daily supply charge while your battery stays connected, or pays a $60 bill credit per quarter through Battery Power Top Up if you stay on another ActewAGL plan. Eligible batteries include Tesla Powerwall, LG, SolarEdge, AlphaESS, Sigenergy and Sungrow models, and the VPP keeps a 20 percent reserve in your battery.
Battery friendly plans
ActewAGL offers time of use plans, the plan type a battery pairs best with: charge when power is cheap, discharge through the evening peak.
